Ipse is an AI-powered personal mirror app that helps you understand your own thoughts, emotions, and decision patterns. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with the highest level of care.

What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the Ipse experience:

• Account information (email, name) when you register
• Chat messages and voice transcripts you choose to send
• Onboarding responses you provide to build your profile
• Usage metadata (session duration, feature usage) for service improvement
• Payment information, processed securely by Stripe — we never store card details

What we do not collect

• We do not store raw audio recordings without your explicit consent
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not use your conversations to train general AI models
• We do not build advertising profiles

How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to power your personal AI mirror — to generate responses that reflect your communication style, values, and emotional patterns. We do not share your personal conversations with any third party.

Voice input

Voice input is entirely optional. When you use voice, your audio is transcribed and you review the transcript before it is sent. You may delete all voice-related data at any time from within the app settings.

Data retention and deletion

You control your data. You can delete individual memories, your entire profile, or your account at any time. Deletion is permanent and irreversible. We do not retain data after account deletion.

Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to your data is limited to the minimum necessary for service operation and is never accessed by our team without explicit consent or a legal requirement.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Ipse:

• OpenAI — to generate AI responses. Your messages are processed according to OpenAI's privacy policy
• Stripe — for secure payment processing
• Supabase — for authentication and database services

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy regulations, including the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@ipse.app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Ipse after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
